Asda’s New Store Manager – Cathy Biggs

NEWS

Barons Quay would like to welcome Cathy Biggs, the new Store Manager at ASDA Northwich. Cathy has worked with ASDA for many years and tells us how she began her career with one of the UK’s top supermarkets.

“I have been with Asda for 22 years this year. I started as a 16 year old in Queensferry store on a 6.5 hours a week contract on the delicatessen counter. I have held various management roles within several Asda stores with my most recent being Deputy Store Manager at Asda Westbrook Academy, this is ASDA’s training store so I was responsible for technically training our leadership teams”.

We also asked Cathy what is the most fulfilling aspect of her job at ASDA Northwich.

“I thoroughly love my job. My favourite part of being a store manager has definitely got to be seeing someone do something for themselves today that they could not do yesterday and that can stretch from setting up a display to running a store.”

Cathy further explains what the customers of the Northwich enjoy the most.

“After speaking with many of our new and now regular customers, they have a real soft spot for George clothing. The price point and quality of the range has gone down very successfully. The Cafe is a real success for customers to meet with friends in a comfortable atmosphere and then complete their necessary shopping. The food range and homeware that we sell have allowed customers further choice in their weekly shop.”

Join Cathy and the team at ASDA Northwich Friday 21st July, for a Teddy Bear Picnic in aid of BBC Children In Need. Members of the team will also be in fancy dress to help raise money for the charity. Ask in store for more details.
